(Review) Blast FlipStick

I remember a time when I was a child that I told my parents I didn't want to grow up. Well, there wasn't much they could do about that ... too bad.

Lately, I have been having the same thought. I am heading to the latter end of my mid-thirties ... (did I just admit that) and feeling it. I am finding myself thinking of ways that I can look more put together, as the throw on jeans and a tee with no makeup on just isn't working for me anymore.

Well, I still love jeans and tees and wear them just about every day, but I have been trying to mix things up a bit. I have been wearing more skirts and will bust out the cardigans soon. Hopefully, if fall ever comes to SoCal! It's all part of my mission to feel more put together.

So wardrobe aside, I have realized I really need to wear makeup now. For someone who hasn't ever worn much of it (except in 7th grade) and still has no clue how to actually put on eye-shadow, this is a work in progress. I have always had to wear some sort of cover up under my eyes for my inherited dark circles, and I always wear bronzer and mascara, but lately I have started to wear eye liner too. Baby steps.

I have my old trusty lip glosses, but they have been frustrating me lately. I feel like I put them on and five seconds later, I need to reapply.

With that said, I have had lipstick on my mind lately. There is nothing that makes a woman look and feel more put together than to have pretty lips. Weird, huh? But I have been looking around and noticing that. Take a look around, yourself. See who looks nice and who takes care of her appearance. Most likely, she will have lipstick on.

It is a soft, natural pink that would probably look good on just about anyone. It just emphasizes your natural lip color. It makes your lips feel soft, too.

My face wasn't in portrait shape, so Autie was generous to model the color for you.

Autie, who isn't a lipstick girl herself, likes how the color is subtle, especially as it fades a bit, and she likes how the texture feels natural and not-sticky.
